    Posted: Jul 12 2023 at 10:37pm

Hi,

I am currently trying to work through ‘OpenElement Tutorial C4’ on how to create a smart phone menu. In this tutorial the smart phone menu is displayed as a pop up which is opened when a list icon/image is pressed on the main screen. The image that opens the pop up is located on an underlying menu layer along with the menu for the default media settings; as far as I can tell this is what the tutorial sais to do.

My problem is that, even though the pop up and the image that opens the pop up is fully functional when the menu layer is run by itself, once the home page is displayed the image that opens the pop up is inactive although still visible on the home page.

I have watched the tutorial several times and I cannot work out where I might have gone wrong. I was wondering if anyone could help me work out what is going on.

Thanks,

Paul Hunt

To be able to analyze your site I need to see it.  I can't simply guess what's going on.

Otherwise WEB page element can be superimposed using CSS z-index.

Thank you, I appreciate your help. I will look carefully at the things you point out. In fact I think I used one of your tutorials to construct my basic scrolling web page. It works great. I pasted in the code you provided but I was blindly following the instructions without really knowing what I was doing. If I can't get the site going I certainly don't mind showing you although I might be a little embarrassed being a virtual newby doing silly things. Thanks again. Cheers.
