"Hello everyone, I believe this question may have already been asked, but I couldn't find any related discussions on the forum. I have an old website that I handcrafted, and I want to import it into oE so that I can utilize it. I've attempted to figure out how to do this, but it seems there's no alternative – only the import page is accessible. Do I need to commence from there?" < ="flex ml-auto gizmo:ml-0 gap-2 items-center rounded-md p-1 text-xs gizmo:gap-1.5 gizmo:pl-0 dark:text-gray-400 dark::bg-gray-700 dark::text-gray-200 :dark::text-gray-400 :bg-gray-100 :text-gray-700" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: rgb217, 217, 227; --tw-border-spacing-x: 0; --tw-border-spacing-y: 0; --tw-translate-x: 0; --tw-translate-y: 0; --tw-rotate: 0; --tw-skew-x: 0; --tw-skew-y: 0; --tw-scale-x: 1; --tw-scale-y: 1; --tw-pan-x: ; --tw-pan-y: ; --tw-pinch-zoom: ; --tw-scroll-snap-strictness: proximity; --tw-gradient-from-: ; --tw-gradient-via-: ; --tw-gradient-to-: ; --tw-ordinal: ; --tw-slashed-zero: ; --tw-numeric-figure: ; --tw-numeric-spacing: ; --tw-numeric-fr: ; --tw-ring-inset: ; --tw-ring-offset-width: 0px; --tw-ring-offset-color: #fff; --tw-ring-color: rgba69,89,164,.5; --tw-ring-offset-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-ring-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-shadow-colored: 0 0 transparent; --tw-: ; --tw-brightness: ; --tw-contrast: ; --tw-grayscale: ; --tw-hue-rotate: ; --tw-invert: ; --tw-saturate: ; --tw-sepia: ; --tw-drop-shadow: ; --tw-backdrop-: ; --tw-backdrop-brightness: ; --tw-backdrop-contrast: ; --tw-backdrop-grayscale: ; --tw-backdrop-hue-rotate: ; --tw-backdrop-invert: ; --tw-backdrop-opacity: ; --tw-backdrop-saturate: ; --tw-backdrop-sepia: ; font-family: inherit; font-size: 0.75rem; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1rem; margin: 0px 0px 0px auto; padding: 0.25rem; appearance: ; -: none; cursor: pointer; display: flex; align-items: center; gap: 0.5rem; border-radius: 0.375rem;">http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"> < ="p-1 gizmo:pl-0 rounded-md :dark::text-gray-400 dark::text-gray-200 dark:text-gray-400 :bg-gray-100 :text-gray-700 dark::bg-gray-700" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: rgb217, 217, 227; --tw-border-spacing-x: 0; --tw-border-spacing-y: 0; --tw-translate-x: 0; --tw-translate-y: 0; --tw-rotate: 0; --tw-skew-x: 0; --tw-skew-y: 0; --tw-scale-x: 1; --tw-scale-y: 1; --tw-pan-x: ; --tw-pan-y: ; --tw-pinch-zoom: ; --tw-scroll-snap-strictness: proximity; --tw-gradient-from-: ; --tw-gradient-via-: ; --tw-gradient-to-: ; --tw-ordinal: ; --tw-slashed-zero: ; --tw-numeric-figure: ; --tw-numeric-spacing: ; --tw-numeric-fr: ; --tw-ring-inset: ; --tw-ring-offset-width: 0px; --tw-ring-offset-color: #fff; --tw-ring-color: rgba69,89,164,.5; --tw-ring-offset-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-ring-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-shadow-colored: 0 0 transparent; --tw-: ; --tw-brightness: ; --tw-contrast: ; --tw-grayscale: ; --tw-hue-rotate: ; --tw-invert: ; --tw-saturate: ; --tw-sepia: ; --tw-drop-shadow: ; --tw-backdrop-: ; --tw-backdrop-brightness: ; --tw-backdrop-contrast: ; --tw-backdrop-grayscale: ; --tw-backdrop-hue-rotate: ; --tw-backdrop-invert: ; --tw-backdrop-opacity: ; --tw-backdrop-saturate: ; --tw-backdrop-sepia: ; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0.25rem; appearance: ; -: none; cursor: pointer; border-radius: 0.375rem;">http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"> Edited by Hobby001 - Oct 21 2023 at 12:22am |

Unfortunately it is not possible to import a site that was not built with openElement. You will have to do it again. Note that today it is imperative to create a site in responsive mode. This means that your site will adapt to all screen formats. I invite you to consult the videos on this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWg7A6YtIr7WE2oJe9pX8_3u0FerqJwjo in order to learn how to use openElement

The same holds true, if you use a recommended homepage creation tool, offered by the domain provider. You would have to rebuild your site, if you switch to another provider. So it is always wise to select an independent tool, that !loacally! creates code to be transferable by simple upload it to to a new domain. These tools usually cost cosiderable money, or are hard to learn. OE comes for free, and it is easy to master. It creates independable code, not bound to any provider. Made possible by a group of retired experts, nonprofit organisation. Just for serious fun. Edited by digizar - Oct 21 2023 at 11:59pm |
